Water serves as a balance for the other elements in the Chinese garden. No Chinese garden is complete without a body of water, no matter how small. Water is the nurturing, yielding, or yin element of the Chinese garden. You can say that water is the most important element in the Chinese garden. The best things to look at in the Chinese garden are the edges of lakes with views of the mountains. The water represents flow withing the garden and the combination between all of the other elements within. I chose water because it is good for the body and the soul. A waterside kiosk overlooks a river or pond. A waterside kiosk looks slim and graceful, it has a wide facade and sits right above the water. The waterside kiosk is used to decorate the shore of a lake or a river, and it adds a touch of appeal to the surroundings.
